Folks,

Need some help.
I use a 7 year old GPOne helmet with a crappy iridium visor and thinking of the following:
(a) Replace the visor mounts and visor to AGV; dont know where I can get this in Bangalore
(b) Replace the aged but no crack/ fall lid with a new one

Could You please help.

Thanks.

Check at Orion Mall (hope i got the name right), the Daniese and AGV shop is there. I would suggest to get a new lid itself as you current lid has lived its prime.

Intesresting article on helmet pricing vs safety provided - http://blm.io/blog/motorcycle-helmet-safety-price/

Hey Anoop. You can look at the studds scorpion or the shifter. Have seen the scorpion first hand. Good helmet for the money. Shifter IMO is a scorpion with an internal sun visor

I was on the lookout for a helmet. Probably within around Rs. 3000.

I was looking at the LS2 range. Haven't got the time to check at the Helmet Paradise. But looking for something black with bits of red thrown in.

Currently have a Vega Motocross type helmet that I have grown tired of.

Any suggestions?

Also, what are LS2 currently retailing at at Helmet Paradise?

^ This is enough for a whole bike + helmet + visor. Should work pretty much the same as well :)

I use Rain X on my helmet visor and it works pretty well.

Hey buddy - This is from the snapdeal product page for Rain X:

"Avoid using Rain X Original Glass Treatment on any plastic surfaces, including motorcycle windshields, ATVs and solar panels"

Given that the helmet visor is also essentially plastic, this may not be such a good idea?

Hi UN, thanks for the info.

However the backside of the bottle says it is safe on polycarbonate plastic like head lamps, visors etc. Have been using it for a long time now with no issues

Edit, I use a different product than what is on snap deal. Mine is a spray kind.

Had been to Helmet Paradise, Bangalore last night:

http://www.ebay.in/itm/LS2-Helmet-FF...item1e8d979a50

They quoted 3900 for this helmet, then immediately brought it down to 3500 when I said I'd come back later. :P

Any idea what would be a fair price to ask them for? I'm quite the pathetic one when it comes to bargaining. stupid:

Finally laid my hands on the AGV K3 (Dreamtime) Helmet

Here is my initial take on it after wearing it at home for a little while

Light Weight
Good construction
Great fit and finish
Nice snug fit

I cant wait to try it on once iam back in India

Blue Iridium visor looks really awesome. Iam sure it will go rather well with this helmet:)

Can anyone advice on what is the cost of AGV made Centurion full-face helmet sold by Enfield dealers. Also, is there any dealer in Delhi who sells AGV helmets?

I went for a short spin last night with my new AGV K3 helmet

Some initial observations

1. Feels really good inside. Silent as ghost

2. Helmet feels bit tight and cheeks get pressed against the pad. Will the helmet loosen a bit after breaking in?

3. Visor has a 4-step closure system. I can push the visor up and down in 4 stages. Pretty cool feature

4. This is my first good brand helmet and it really cuts off the sound of outside world :thumbs up...including the lovely note of my stock bonnie:Frustrati

Only gripe is helmet feels little tight and hope it will loosen up a bit over time

Congrats Avi on the helmet, good buy.

Regarding the feeling of tightness, it will loosen a bit with usage but they say it is good if it is tight.

How is the stability of the helmet once speeds are nearing triple digit?

Due to tightness, whenever I go over a bump or pothole, vision becomes little disoriented. I took it for a short spin and must have touched 90kmph max as i was scared to push more due to this issue

Will need to get used to helmet before I cross triple digit speeds:D

Wearing spectacles causes it to move wren the helmet moves so the vision distortion. I faced this issue too after I changed to LS2 Helmets but now I am used to it anyway. No vision issues whatsoever.

It all points out to one thing Avi, you need to take the bike for more frequent rides with this helmet to get 'used to'. :D

I'm going to assume you were wearing glasses while riding. The problem is not the helmet but the glasses. Because of the tightness of the helmet, the glasses have to be jammed in and does not usually form a good grip behind the ears at the bendy part if the stem. Any bump or undulation causes the specs to "launch" upwards n vision gets blurred.

I'm sure u already know this but you should watch out for any hotspots around the fore head. Some excellent info on helmet fit here:

You did try a fellow rider s k3 before buyîng urs iirc and that fit u well. So don't worry, this one will open up a bit also and become comfortable
