Eric, Your Math is perfect. You are right. 25m is the safe distance at 50 kmph and not at 100 kmph. Nice catch. The safe distance rule (meters) in germany - as explained by a colleague - is driving speed in kmph / 2. This value turns out closer to a 2 second rule. Just to clarify - the 3 second rule works universally.

Is this really such a big issue? I remember from my pre-BREXIT stints in the UK that the East Europeans (mainly) used to merrily drive around the UK in their LHD cars.
