Thank you everyone for the nice words and sorry for a delayed response. Had been pretty tied up with office the whole of last week.
But we are no heros! What we did that day was our duty as a fellow road user.
And yes, we were really very lucky as well, to have not been hit the the car.

Thank you. Another lesson learnt.
Fortunately she did not complain of any neck pain when she talked to the doctors at the hospital. I guess we were lucky this time around.

It is a SJ CAM 5000 EX Action Camera with image stabilization "on" and shooting at 1080P/30fps with 170 degree wide view mode. Final editing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro and same resolution retained for the final output (Youtube 1080P).

He is definitely not a rash driver. He has been my passenger since he was 3. Now he is all of 20. All these years he has been listening to my constant live commentary of the road. I keep talking about other fellow road user's behaviors and manners while driving. I would say things like "Let me slow down a bit, see that Swift in front is not maintaining the lane, may be he is using his mobile phone", or "See these muddy tyre marks from the left, possibly tractors reach the highway from the field here, let me be cautious".
It is just a habit, but I now think in the back of mind I probably wanted him to learn the EQ of driving.

The minor facial injuries he had could be some projectile (water bottle or a mobile phone) in the car or merely the airbag impact. While the waist injury/pain was most probably due to the seatbelt.

They actually did hit a large tree head on which caused the airbag deployment, but definitely before that they were slowed down by the shrubs and the undulating ground.

True. I did have the video footage to show and legally they can't even ask for my contact details if I am not willing to share.
Of course it also helps if you car is clean and scratch free and shows no signs of even a minor impact. Another reason to keep your car in perfect shape

Yes that is a possibility. The first things the ER doctors did was and an ECG and a X-RAY.
