I hope two wheelers switch to Standalone DRLs (just an LED strip) instead of the current AHO (on highbeam)

Atleast make the headlamps automatically revert back to low beam each time vehicle shuts down, so that only the most astute morons can manually switch to highbeam each time to irritate other drivers.

Adding to that, driving with low beams is mandated even on vehicle evaluation tracks in all conditions (including broad daylight) though all the 'users' of the tracks are expert drivers. This is done for enhancing visibility.

Infact, three points are mandated before putting vehicle in gear :

1. Headlights ON in low beam
2. Adjust driver seat into proper driving position
3. Adjust ORVMs and IRVM

There's no doubt about the utility of the DRLs in enhancing the visibility of vehicles and hence increasing safety.

Tropical weather or otherwise, Indians have this habit of not turning their headlights on even when it's dark - I have personally remarked to many in my circle that you don't have to pay a bill to use your lights for own safety. Even if you stay in a place with all day sunlight, still you might travel places where conditions/visibility can change in a matter of minutes and if DRLs can do their bit to safeguard you then why not? The fact that they look cool is added bonus!

Also wish more cars came with auto headlights and auto high-low beam considering the high beam menace we have.
