Was not very difficult to spot this bad driver (rider actually) on Choolaimedu High Road, at the signal where it meets Nelson Manickam road. Those who use this road know how jam-packed this road is during morning/evening peak hours. And this guy parked himself on his bike, waiting for his ironed clothes at what he thinks is a drive-in ironing-shop.

No, this was not one of those Google’s driver less cars.

I was on a usual walk today morning and was about to cross a road. So, I turned and looked back. To my horror I see this white Swift of some local driving school coming towards me with the driver’s seat empty. Couldn't comprehend immediately as to what was happening (was something straight out of a movie scene). As it got closer, I saw the so called driving ‘teacher’ steering the car sitting on the co-passenger’s seat.

I was dumbstruck when I saw this. Is it so physically enduring to jump into the driver’s seat? :Frustrati
Just wonder how these guys are given such jobs!

Off Topic: Btw, do these cars have an A-pedal also on the other side? Thought they only had C&B-pedals.

Well, they only have the clutch and brake on the passenger side!
I guess it must have been a diesel cos , only diesels can be driven using the clutch alone all the way upto 3rd gear!

Yesterday evening I came across a bad driver. He was driving his WagonR at around 20-30 kmph speed. The road has side walls on both sides as there are some construction activities going on. To add the difficulty the car was heading to a sharp turn. Now the driver has little idea about the oncoming traffic.

This guy was returning from office and wanted get rid of his neck tie without disturbing the knot. While the car is moving he bent forward slightly :Shockked: to take out the tie. Now the car is at middle of the turn and overshot to the next line. A truck was coming opposite and both of the front bumpers had a mild kiss. And the show starts.

Can a driver be sillier than this..?

And it's a pain when we try to enter Choolaimedu from the subway esp during peak hours when people block the whole road and ask you to drive the car in a gap where even a cyclist will find it difficult to go through!

I used to live here a while back. I always avoided getting into this road through the subway side. I always used to go further, enter in through Metha nagar, and then come backwards. Longer, but saves a lot of hassle. And it also helped that my house was in Gill Nagar :P

This chaos/confusion started from the time when the cops took a decision to make this road a 1-way for certain hours of the day (peak-hours - 7AM to 11AM IIRC). Ofcourse our folks decided to make it a 1-way all the 24 hours, resulting in folks coming from subway side not being able to enter this road even during the time it is 2-way.

^^^Takiing a right from subway side to Chetpet is illegal. Not to mention the inconvenience it causes to folks coming from Mehta Nagar side or C.H.Road.
But the cops not only ignore it, but seem to encourage it, as you rightly mentioned.

Yesterday evening came across a gang of bad drivers at a busy juntion on Old Mumbai-Pune road. At one point of time, the signal for the vehicle towards Pune was red and traffic from a corssing road is moving. Now an ambulance is coming towards the junction and heading to Pune with siren and a gentleman moved his Mercedes to give may to the ambulance :thumbs up. So far so good.

There are 30-40 secs still remaining to turn the signal green, so the traffic warden came forward and stopped the traffic which was crossing the junction to pass the Ambulance. Now to my surprise, the entire vehicles which were waiting at the signal are following the Ambulance.:Shockked: Remember there were approximately 20-30 secs remaining for turning signal green. People can not even wait for 30 secs..? I hope this bunch qualify for the Bad Drivers Title...

Some bit of it was due to the fact that I cannot zig zag a car through traffic like bikers. Now a days, even though I still ride a bike, but I never ever zig zag through traffic. I have got angry stares from other bikers for not squeezing in between vehicles. But the only thing that comes to my mind is, what would I have felt if some biker has squeezed through my car.
I feel that people who do such zig zagging acts, either don't own a 4 wheeler, or they are so rich that they can buy another car and it doesn't matter if their current car has some dents or scratches.
