There was a 10min jam due to a small accident (alto vs truck) and another 10min jam at one of the toll plazas. In all, we were able to hold good speeds and managed to hit Lella, Gurgaon in 5hrs 15min including a 15min break at Manesar Mcdees. Yes, driving in day does slow you down but overall, i was happy with the drive. Oh yes, there was this another 10min jam at Manesar.

Exactly my point. The drive anytime after 1400 hrs from Jaipur towards Delhi can be really troublesome. This is when the alternate route can be utilised. Yess you will have to do extra 50kms or so, but I am 100% sure, you will save a lot on time and maybe get equal mileage due to the stop go and heavy traffic on NH8 |
