Re: Udupi to Jadcherla ( Near Mehabubnagar)

Guys,

I am planning Kurnool - Shimoga in 2 weeks. Does anyone has updates on the road conditions?

My current plan is Kurnool-Adoni-Bellary-Chitradurga-Shimoga. Does this makes sense? I am open to longer route if required.

This makes sense given the strikes affecting NH7 route. However if you are able to time your journey and aviod the rasta rokos, Kurnool - Anantapur - Rayadurg - Chitradurga - Shimoga would be a good alternative.

Road from Kurnool to Anantapur (NH7) is good. Right turn on NH7 bypass in Anantapur will take you to Rayadurgam. Anantapur to Chitradurga Route is good except few stretches in Rayadurg - Chitradurga section. I travelled on Anantapur Chitradurga road on Saturday (sep 21st) early morning and is in decent condition. This route may be longer by 15-20 kms compared to the route you intend to take.

Folks

Just wanted to check about Mantralayam-Hospet-Shimoga road conditions? I am bit concerned about road blocks, so would like to avoid the above route if this is not very bad.
