Gurgaon-Ranthambore, Any alternate route other than that via Jaipur?

Hi Guys,

Information required on the Gurgaon - Ranthambore route. Will be starting on 30th early morning.

Consulted everything available to me, including the Outlook guide, and landed up with the route Gurgaon - Jaipur - Dausa - Ranthambore. But saw in Outlook maps that another route can be made out via Alwar, i.e. Gurgaon - Dharuhera - Alwar - Ranthambore. Seems to be a less lenghty route.

But could not get any valuable information regarding the condition of the road. Any information about this route will be of great help.

Stay on the main highway whenever possible. State highways in Rajasthan are not top notch

Why not just take the overnight sleeper train to Sawai Madhupur?

Ashok: Getting reservations in the last minute (I am bad planner in this regard) for the train is a headache. Also, as a T-BHP member, do you expect me to ride a train rather than drive a car?
