Mumbai-Delhi: Directory of Reliance Petrol Pumps

I prefer Reliance Petrol pumps for the following reasons:

1. Reliance diesel gives you better mileage
2. The pumps are large and generally have clean toilets, especially
important when you have families travelling with you (many PSU pumps
do not even have toilets)
3. Staff are courteous and follow standard protocols (customer check
before refuelling, modern pumps for better calibration, etc).
4. There are garbage bins so that you can dump your car waste paper
bin instead of littering the highways!
5. They are strategically located (usually the most visible)
6. A1 Plazas offer good value for money, are reasonably clean and
offer standardised service. And I believe they have rest rooms and
wash rooms.
7. And I have found the quality of fuel apparently better, I fear
adulteration less (which is a common thing in PSU pumps especially
in the case of petrol).

And I used to be a BPCL customer myself, and I also carry a Club HP
card! But my first choice has been Reliance.

Here is a complete directory of Reliance Petrol pumps on the Mumbai-
Delhi GQ route:

(1) Maharastra-Gujarat border, BOTH SIDES of the road, 14 kms from
Talasari, 4 kms before Gujarat Check post

(2) After Valsad, 58 kms after Vapi flyover, 25 kms before Navsari
flyover, LEFT side

(3) After Surat Bypass, 14 kms from River Tapi bridge, LEFT side,
with A1 Plaza

(4) 4 kms Before Ankleswar town, RIGHT side

(5) 5 kms after crossing River Narmada (and Bharuch turn off), LEFT
side

(6) 3 kms before beginning of Vadodara Bypass, and 61 kms from end
of River Narmada bridge, RIGHT side, A1 Plaza

(7) Vadodara end of Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway, RIGHT side (not
possible to cross over), 7 kms after the Vadodara end toll gate,
has both A1 and REFRESH Plazas

(8) Ahmedabad end of Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway, LEFT side, 22
kms after the Nadiad exit, and around 22 kms before final toll gate
at Ahmedabad end, has both A1 and REFRESH Plazas

(9) 4 kms from the point where Patel Ring Road (connecting to
Vadodara Expressway) rejoins NH8 on the Ahmedabad-Naroda/Himmatnagar
road, LEFT side

(10) Further 12 kms down, LEFT side

(11) 1 km before Himmatnagar town, RIGHT side

(12) 2 kms after Gujarat Border Check Post (beyond Shamlaji), LEFT
side, with A1 Plaza

(13) 16 kms from Rajasthan Border town of Ratanpur, LEFT side

(14) 13 kms further down, RIGHT side, (29 kms from Ratanpur)

(15) 2 kms after Rishabdeo town, LEFT side

(16) On NH76 (Udaipur-Chittorgarh road), 11 kms from the point where
you turn off NH8, and 5 kms before Udaipur Airport, LEFT side

(17) On the same road, 57 kms from NH8, and 3 kms before Mangalgad,
RIGHT side

(18) 3 kms after Chittorgarh town, on NH79, the road to Bhilwara-
Kishangarh-Jaipur (GQ)

(19) 28 kms after Chittorgarh town, RIGHT side

(20) 13 kms after Bhilwara Bypass North end (81 kms after
Chittorgarh town), LEFT side

(21) 6 kms before Nasirabad, 271 kms after Chittorgarh town), LEFT
side

(22) 6 kms after rejoining NH8 (beyond Kishangarh), RIGHT side, A1
Plaza

(23) Dudu town, 69 kms before Jaipur, LEFT side

(24) 24 kms after Shahpura, on Jaipur-Delhi highway, RIGHT side

(25) 1 km further down, LEFT side, with A1 Plaza

(26) 5 kms after entering Haryana and 6 kms before Bahwal, LEFT side

(27) 2 kms before Daruhera, RIGHT side

(28) 4 kms after Manesar, LEFT side

I may be pardoned for any mistakes and I hope members chip in and
make corrections wherever required.

A few more points:
- Petrol Pump 26 is still not open
- Some petrol pumps were closed thanks to the problems with the
recent disparity in petrol prices
- In Gujarat, there is no difference between reliance and PSU pumps
- In Rajasthan, diesel was 50 paise dearer
- Toilets were generally cleaner in relaince, in PSU pumps toilets
were normally not "enterable"

I have also GPS points for all the petrol pumps which I will
catalogue and upload. In the meantime, if anyone wants it urgently,
please be free to make a request.

Because everyone copies it for their own reference, than a "Good post" answer.

hvk: seriously cool. RIL should release an online "Outlet" finder for their outlets soon!

Reliance has increased prices of all fuels sold at their outlets thanks to the rise in crude oil prices. I understand that prices are Rs 2.50 pr litre more. Last time this happened, most motorists stopped patronising the Reliance pumps, in some places even the Reliance dealers went on strike wanting scaleback of prices to avert loss to the PSU competition which stoically bears all price increases for political compulsions.....and will eventually go bust.

Yesterday, I refuelled at the Reliance station on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway (Vadodara end). Reliance has raised rates again, apparently in response to the rising crude prices. But a staffer there told me something funny - he says that the rise has nothing to do with crude prices, it is more to do with Reliance wanting to cut sales in its pumps since they have solid export orders during this quarter to sell diesel abroad.

What I found disturbing is the filling station's desperation to sell lubes, etc. They insisted that I refill my coolant (saying that it looked too diluted) - of course, I told them to bu***r off. Then they tried to refill the tyres' air, which is suicide considering the hot riding conditions and the fast drive that I had just done reaching that sport, which I refused (I never refill air in such conditions, it always results in over-inflation and a dangerous situation since the tyres are very hot).

Reliance has shut down its pumps but they have the land. They can retain the A1 plazas and use the land to set up Reliance outlets all along the highway !!!

Happily, some of the A1 Plazas are still running alhough the petrol stations themselves have closed down. Hopefully, with raising of fuel prices, Reliance will be back soon. I sure miss their spick-and-span fuel filling stations and clean toilets.

Inspite of crude coming down drastically, benifits hasn't been passed to consumers till yet. Any specific reason ? It looks like Oil companines are compensating their previous losses.
