Re: Scam alert: Hotelquickly.com

Trip Adviser is still the go to for travel destination and hotel reviews. After the heads up from this thread I will be more wary of the deals linked from TA. MMT is good for booking, their customer care is responsive. However their reviews cannot be trusted, because they publish only positive reviews. This is based on my experience of posting a slightly negative review.

Re: Scam alert: Hotelquickly.com

Update:

Finally after a wait of 2 months after lodging a dispute complaint with Yes bank, they have successfully managed to resolve the issue and credited back the complete amount to my credit card.

Re: Scam alert: Hotelquickly.com

Being based in India it makes imminent sense to use MakeMyTrip or GoIbibo. They are based here and you can hold their feet to the fire and both have a desire to protect their customer base and credibility. Trip Advisor I would not go by. They have lost their credibility.

Mohit,

I am a bit confused. where is the evidence of your own ordeal? That's what I opened the thread for, but cannot find. Please share.

Even that thread is full of low quality single post posters.

I have described the whole scam in detail in the first post of this thread itself. The link to the TA thread is to let you know that the said company has been doing this to hundreds or thousands of travellers across the globe.

What evidence you do you want? I have the the booking, payment confirmation, their cancellation mail stating the above mentioned reason and even got the end hotel's mail where they have categorically mentioned that they never got any booking in my name in the first place.

Yup - that's what I was hoping to see in the thread ideally.

Just like car ownership / dealer reviews are first hand, complete with redacted invoices etc.
