Ahmedabad - Jaipur - Bharatpur - Ramnagar - Ranikhet

We plan to drive to Ranikhet during the 1st Week of October. We would make a pit stop near Jaipur and then stop at Bharatpur to check out the birds.

What route to Ramnagar from here? How is the Mathura-Aligarh-Muradabad road? Any sights to be seen on the way? Where could we make a pit stop between Bharatpur and Ramnagar?

Would be mighty glad for some advise. Thanks.

I think you would be better off with Jaipur-Delhi rather than Agra/Aligarh.

Jaipur-Agra is 4-lane. Not sure about Bharatpur-Mathura. But beyond Raya/Iglas and roads around Hathras are mostly 2-lanes as per what I know.

Beyond Aligarh you either do Anupshahr Sambal or Narora/Babrala (either via Dibai or Harduaganj/Atrauli) to cross the Ganges. Babrala route has improved over times, but still nothing close to Jaipur-Delhi.

Plus you get clear options from break-points. So my suggestion would be to stick to Jaipur/Delhi.
