Try to leave home early so that you don't get caught in the traffic on Mysore road.
Long weekend,so don't be surprised with the number of vehicles on the road.

Weather should have cooled off now since Wayanad has been having its share of showers like its counterparts in Kerala.

Drive safe and happy tripping !!

Bro, its not so this time around. I was sweating the hell out last sunday. The climate is extremely hot. In certain areas where it rains climate is ok. In my place its like HOT!!!

The road from Gundulpet is good. But there are two or three places where the road sides have been dug up for expansion work.

I had been sometime in june i guess. It was just the begining of monsoons and luckily it had rained last 1-2 days before i went. when i was there, it never rained. but because of the earlier rains the place was all green and moist. even the water bodies had enough water.

I suggest you to do it in june(may after mid june)

I have always thought the best season to visit Wayanad or for that matter Kerala, is by the end of the year, say post October..Ideal period for Wayanad would be for Xmas / New Year Break..2007 New Year time, all the hotels in that vicinity were over booked and when I went there I found more KA vehicles than KL ones!

Check out the following links
Wayanad.net
HotelsKerala/Wayanad

I found these links much informative and helpful.
Plan your trip and book the place in advance if you are planning to visit there by the end of year.

Cheers
Menon
