Road Trip Planner !!!!

Hi Guys ,

Theres this site called Live Local Search which will help you plan your ROAD TRIPS for the better . It has features like Shortest distance , Average Time taken to cover the distance etc .... and it will also give you the driving directions in a step wise format ... check it out and let me know howz it ...

This is not very usefull for India.. Google has more detailed maps, but no driving directions for India

well i think it is very useful , i just tried a simple location ;
i filled
starting from as : mumbai
end : lonavla
and i got a detailed step wise format of the directions
  • Driving directions

another on is Mapmyindia.com, i am sure there are many others. only disadvantage is not all the places are marked on these maps,

Its ok for Mumbai users, because the coverage is good with more details. Look at Pune, Bangalore or Hyderabad - Many main roads are missing/not named .. Hyderabad and Bangalore has just 7-8 roads marked on the map!!

Ther used to be an excellent site called Indiaoverland.com ! but some how it just does not work any more! The maps were just fab!
For places in Goa Check out Goa Overview map

Now you can get Live search installed on a Windows Mobile phone by going to Live Search for mobile

Though it is meant for use in UK/US, you can search for Indian cities. You can get driving directions as well displayed on your mobile !!

there is yahoo's city maps, very detailed, for a lot of cities...
