Wayanad to Hassan Route Query

Hello folks

We are traveling to Mysore and Wayanad from Bangalore tomorrow afternoon. We are staying overnight at Mysore tomorrow, and going to Serenity Resort, Wayanad on Tuesday. We got valuable inputs on the route to take from Mysore to Wayanad.

But now we have added another pitstop at Hassan on Wednesday, because we want to visit Belur and Halebid temples. Therefore we plan to drive to Hassan from Wayanad and rest overnight there. And return to Bangalore on Thursday after visiting both temples.

Google estimates a driving time of below 5 hours to Hassan from Serenity Resort. It goes via Mananthvady, Priyapatna and Arkalagud without even touching Mysore.

Is this a good route, or do you suggest I go via Mysore? A detailed route is needed please.
