Dear TeamBHP-ians,

Query for the fellow members knowledgeable about this route—seeking your advise to identify the most optimum route for an upcoming travel with my family on June 28 (thanks kindly in advance):

• Google Maps suggested the above 3 route options from Sawai Madhopur (starting point) to Udaipur (the destination)—which one or a combination of one or more would be the most ideal route/direction to drive in the shortest possible time along with the below considerations?
  (The ₹₹ on tolls would be the least of our concerns).

• The top priority would be the best road surface conditions and thinner traffic/ least bottlenecks on the recommended route.

• Family, including senior citizens, would be traveling in our private car. Hence, having clean and accessible rest-stops en route would be important, as well.

Sawai madhopur to Bhilwara to chittorgarh to Udaipur.

Bhilwara to Udaipur via Chittorgarh is a fantastic 6-lane Arrow straight road.

I am planning to drive down from Ranthambore to Vadodara with family. Will have to break the journey into 2 days.

Any suggestions on good stay options along the highway (or closeby) around the mid-point. Saw couple of options at Chittorgarh - Imagica resorts and Chitrakoot. But would prefer to halt somewhere little further so that have lesser distance to cover on the next day to Vadodara.

Udaipur is not on the way, so that maybe a little detour from the route.

You don’t need to go to Chittor if you want to go to Vadodara from Sawai Madhopur. You’ll be better off continuing straight down on the Delhi Mumbai Expressway, which currently ends about 200km short of Vadodara. The journey is straight and fast and easily doable in a single day.

If you insist on stopping for the night, take a small detour towards Ujjain and visit the temples there.

Thanks, for some reason I couldn't see that route on google maps earlier. Can see now at 10.5 hrs, so yes should be doable. And plus the joy of driving on NE4!
