Need suggestion for hotel stay in Hassan

I need any suggestion/ recommendation for hotel stay in Hassan for 2 nights.

Will be travelling with family and small kid. Basic requirements, dont need resort like facilities as we will be mostly out during the day. Should be decent, neat & clean with Food facilities.

Hotel Southern Star, opposite Sri Krishna, is also very good. Also has a good multi-cuisine restaurant, you can always walk across to Sri Krishna for veg food.

Yep I second this.

If you can slightly stretch your budget, HOTEL HASSAN ASHOK is good, Even though it's a * hotel, but it's not that costly I feel.
Just get a confirmation from them.

Hotel Suvarna Regency offers you decent, clean accommodation for good prices. We stayed 4 a room (friends) for 800/-.

I have another query, do you have to get inside the city for these hotels or take the bypass to Mangalore.

As i read the address most are situated on the b.m. road (bglr-mglr road)

You have to get inside the city for this hotels and it is not a big deal, take the right road instead of the Hassan BP, you will reach a main junction, take left from there, within a km you will find all the hotels like Srikrishna, Southern Star etc etc
Hassan city is not crowded. It is one of the city which I liked a lot

Still not infested by the IT/ITes crowd

Although it's OT, I couldn't help nodding my head in agreement. Discount the dusty condition of the roads and Hassan is indeed a well-organised, neat little town.

I like it too!
