Manori Beach Directions

Hi Guys,

Has anyone been to Manori Beach recently. Would like to know the best route to take via car and if the road conditions are good. How long would it take to reach from South Mumbai

viper bhai....
take the western express highway....
ask anyone for directions to essel world...

u take a left after the dahisar tollnaka....
then u have to follow a road that leads for about 25 minutes till you come across a cross in the middle of the road....from there one road goes to essel world and one to gorai and manori beach....
take the latter one....
also if lost at any time just ask directions to esssel world or gorai ...cause they are more common familar names...gorai and manori are real close...

been there a week ago also..have a house there
roads are decent...good actually ...just watch out for suprising speedbumps...

some advice...
best place to stay ...manori bell...only lacks a pool
sont forget to buy targulas

cheers

Hey Allan,

Thanks for the directions. How long does it take to reach from say Colaba.

Was planning to stay at Manori Bell only but now since you mentioned you have a house will cancel my bookingscheers:

To add to what Allan said:

The point after Dahisar toll gate is called Bhayender Naka. You will see 2-3 petrol pumps at the point where you have to take the right turn.

You cross Mira Road, after which you cross the railway tracks. After that, you will see a T junction where you turn left).

Further down the road, you will see a road going up to the left - take the left, right goes to Uttan.

From Gorai/Essel World junction, pass through the small lanes of the Gorai village to reach Manori which is around 10 kms from there.

The Beach is accessible from the small lane immediately after you cross the Manoribel Hotel.

Alternativel, you can take a boat ferry from Marve Beach.

If you come from South Bombay, assuming you reach Dahisar Naka in 60 minutes, allow for another 60-75 minutes to reach Manori.

Well the best way to go to gorai is to take a train till borivali and then a rick to gorai khadi and from there a boat till gorai..you will get to travel by road, rail and water.

How good is the manori beach and the manori bell resort? I have been to gorai but never tried manori.

Manori is a lovely unspoilt beach and Manori bel is highl recommended. Gorai is too crowded compared to Manori.

You can also take a ferry direct from Marve Beach (0ff Malad) to Manori. There are separate boat services to Gorai and Essel World. In case you do go by ferry,

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the inputs. Am a bit confused hope you made a typo and meant left from the highway instead of right. How many kms is it from the Dahisar toll naka(approx will do).

Have been to Manori Bell before and stayed there as well, but its been almost 5 years hence wanted the road directions as last time we went by ferry from Marve.

Sorry for the typo, yes, you turn "left" at Bhayender Naka.

I think it is around 35 kms from that junction to Manori, but I am not sure.

Viper ,

The left at Dahisar from highway has a huge Shivaji Statue at the junction so there is no way you will miss it . In any case you do you still have hundreds / thousands of rickshawalla's who will hovering empty next to your vehicle to assist .

I have been to manori Bell , what i saw that it is used primarily for group picnic's and couples . Have not gone on own with family but just for office meet outs .

If you want to go from Marve jetty than you have some family run parking lots which is just outside their houses near the jetty , they take 60 - 100 bucks for the day . Have parked daytime once , it was pretty safe .

From Dhaisar Check Naka on the WE Highway you reach Kashmira signal (2nd major signal from check naka) take a left from there - a place where you see the Shivaji Statue on the left, keep going for about 4-5 kms on the last major signal - this I guess is the 5th signal on this stretch, just before you reach the Bhayander Railway crossing take the a left on the flyover (Time take till here will be 8-10 minutes) keep going straight to Gorai; visible boards to Uttan on Right at the police check post, hence you wil know that you need to aviod going to the road on right - will take another 10-15 minutes to reach here - from Gorai Cross take right and immediate left just after the Gorai chruch for Manori should take another 10-15 minutes. I travel to Gorai once a month and the road conditions till here are quite good; not aware of the road condition from Gorai to Manori

Members recommend a place for a day picnic for around 18-20 people(family members) near gorai.

Re: Manori Beach Directions

Want to go for a day trip to one of the beaches - aksa, gorai, madh etc. I will be travelling from Mulund - what's the best beach to go to - I just want to hang out for a few hours, eat & come back. Not planning to book a room cause would be returning by evening. So any tips on where to park also would be good.

Asking the same question again after 1 & half years. Which beach would be nearest or are all mostly around the same distance. Other questions same as in the earlier post.
