Hyd-Vizag: Travelling with senior co-passenger

Folks:
I am planning to make to road trip from hyd to vizag with my Indica-Xeta. I will be accompanied by 2 senior co-passengers. I would appreciate if someone, who travelled in the recent past or is a frequent traveller in this route, can provide the answers to the following questions:

1) Do you advise me to take the xeta or take the volvo?
2) The best route - in terms of road conditions, safety and availability of rest areas.
3) Distance and time to reach there. My average speed would be 60-65 km/hr.
4) Best time to start - I am thinking to start around 4:00 am to avoid the sun and heat.

Thanks in advance.

Mohan

1) It shouldn't be any prob -
2) Hyd-Vijayawada - Chaotic traffic close to 280 Km - will take min 6 hours
3) Vijayawada - Vizag NH5 -it's a GQ - 6 lane - excellent road condition
4) if you are very comfortable with night driving , if you can leave @ 4am Dot then you can target Vijayawada by 10:30 am- from there you can cruise
Vijayawada - Vizag - 400 Km as per mapmyindia - add another 7 hours.

Hope this helps

I second romyeo4u. Hyderabad to Vijayawada route is a 'night'mare. It is the most accident prone area. Its better you avoid the traffic coming into hyderabad very early in the morning, so start at 4am sharp, the more you delay the more you will get pushed off the road by the dreaded Volvos, and don't drive above the 60 -70km speed.

This reminds me, there is a cyclone - category 3 brewing up in bay of bengal. So watch out.

Have a safe trip.
