Urgent Help Needed Any one from Kangra Region

I am going on a trip from tommorow as follows

1. Reach Pathankot by Train on 14th.
2.Take a taxi from Pathankot to Dharamshala(14-15-16-17).
3. Leave dharamshala on 17th to reach Dalhousie on 17th by Taxi.
4. Leave Dalhousie to pathankot on 21st june to catch train for delhi.

I heard that
The Tribune, Chandigarh, India - Himachal Pradesh Edition

A vital road link between Pathankot and Kangra district was washed away in a flash flood.
How it is going to effect my schedule and travel.
And It is better to book taxi at one go for seven days or book taxi as per requirements( economically and availability ).
I plan to visit all the places nearby Dharamshal (like palampur )
and near Dalhousie.

It also mentions:

Quote:

The authorities had to divert the traffic on the Pathankot-Kangra national highway through the Damtal-Khandwal road.
The superintendent engineer (national highways), Dharamsala, ruled out immediate restoration of traffic on the route. He said they would have to wait for the weather to clear before the causeway was repaired and traffic restored on the route. It could take two days, he added.
So no ways you will be stranded.

It depends on how much of minimum running they ask for per day and the overnight charges. But since it a long hire, you can negotiate real good on that part and keep the same guy.

The Chaki bank bridge was washed away last year.
When we came from Kangra to Pathankot, we took the causeway. Right now it seems the causeway has also go.
So I suggest you go to Una via himalayan queen express(I wonder if it goes to Hamirpur) and then take Nh70 and head over to Dharamshala
No point going to Pathankot, as you will be coming back towards hoshiarpur, and it will be a very very long winded route.
In case you have booked your train tickets, get down at "Hoshiarpur/Ludhiana" on the way, and take the HP roadways bus from there.
Taxi will be very expensive.
