Road Querries - Noida / Delhi Chakrata

Hey Guys

I want to visit Chakrata (Uttranchal) during 3rd week of June. After searching the net, I found two routes:
1. Noida - meruut - Muzaffarnagar - Roorkee - dehradun - mussorie - chakarata
2. Noida -Muzaffarnagar - Saharanpur - Kalsi - Chakrata

May I get some feedback on either of two road's conditions.
Which one is a better option.
Is there any other option?
places to visit in between.

I have planned to stay for 2 days there. Is the duration adequate.

No. 2 is a better option and shorter too.

Hi Guys,

Im planning to head to Chakrata from Delhi later this month and I was trying to figure out the best route (in terms time taken).

1. Delhi-Karnal-Kurukshetra-Yamuna Nagar-Paonta Sahib-Vikas Nagar-Chakrata

2. Delhi-Meerut-Muzzafarnagar-Dehradun-Vikas Nagar-Chakrata (or a varation of this route - Muzzafarnagar-Saharanpur-Vikas Nagar-Chakrata) etc.

Has anybody done these areas recently? What should I take? I am gravitating towards the first option but I am not aware of the route conditions...
