You can do breakfast at Nandi Upachar, Devanahalli. After this I usually take a break at Blue Moon, Hampi, followed by lunch at Food Pyramid, Kothakota.

This is with a 630AM start from Bellandur. Please do check on lunch timings of Food Pyramid based on your start time.

There are 2 Cube Stops - 1 at Chikkaballapur and another one 25 kms before Anantapur. Third option is Food Pyramid at Kothakota. All 3 have good food, neat washrooms and ample parking.

Several new eateries have opened up along this route and can be explored.

Being a long weekend, expect mad rush out of Bangalore.
I would suggest to start bit early, ~4.30 AM Hebbal kind of early.
Stop for breakfast at Pyramid or better, just past that at towards Jadcharla at Sandarshini.

Thanks @dosojin, @ashis89 & @mpksuhas

What is the speed limit on this highway?
Are there any speed cameras on this route?

You have to worry about them once you in Telangana. Especially around Jadcherla area. I have been burned twice around this place.

Apart from the places mentioned above in this thread I think you can add Hangout @Kurnool to your list as well. It will be on the other side of the road but quality food and neat washrooms as well.

We completed a Bangalore - Hyderabad trip yesterday - started from Bannerghatta Road by 5:30AM and reached Begumpet by around 2:30PM. There was heavy fog from a little before Bangalore Airport till about 7:30AM.

We had breakfast at Cube, before Anantpur. We found the place mediocre, with items running out quite easily, poor service (asking us to sit and them calling out the orders for pickup (with no token system), and confusing because everybody is ordering dosa/idly and coffee/tea), and limited seating. They were giving a Rs. 100 coupon for filling fuel at the nearby fuel station.

There were 2 gantry mounted speed cameras in Telangana - the first one a little after the 1st toll booth in Telangana (after Kurnool), & the second once, around 1-1/2 kilometres before Food Pyramid.

Drove to Hyd & back this week.
Onward journey was on a Saturday (of long weekend), hence there was quite lot of traffic.
Had breakfast at Nandi Upachar (it was crowded) and lunch at Food Pyramid.
Speed breakers at some of the junctions on the highway was unsettling.
In Telangana, there are crazy speed limits of 60 & 40 at some cross roads. Difficult to maintain the same.
Return journey was on a week day, sparse traffic, was able to maintain good speed & reached B'lore in 9 hours including 2 breaks (Food Pyramid & Cube Stop Anantapur).

There are plans to expand the Devanahalli to Kurnool stretch to a 10 lane highway. :Cheering:

Sounds great. Imagine if that extension goes till Hyderabad, atleast 6 or 8 lane then the whole jadcherla/shadnagar stretch can be covered in less time

Hi All, recently covered the Bangalore-Hyderabad-Bangalore circuit to run an important errand. Started from home in RR Nagar around 12 p.m. on Friday. Took a good hour and a half to cross the airport. Quick note, the road expansion work seems to have kicked off near Chickballapur, with a couple of diversions. A lot of rumblers have mushroomed enroute Anantapur. Nonetheless, an uneventful journey till Hyderabad, with good to excellent road conditions from Kurnool to Jadcherla. From Jadcherla till Aramgarh and beyond, is nothing short of a wrestling match. Reached the destination Balanagar by 8 p.m.

Finished the meeting and started the return journey from Balanagar the same night around 10:30 p.m. Finished dinner at Parivar Dhaba, Aramgarh by 11:45 p.m. Crossed Kurnool by 2:15 a.m. and witnessed the rising sun at Chickballapur. Reached home in RR Nagar by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

All in all, 1232 km in 19 hours with a couple of breaks.

I was the only driver and the car for the drive was my 2010 Micra petrol.

Happy and safe driving, everyone!

Woah, so you reached Hyderabad at 8 pm and within couple of hours started back again. That is some enduranceclap:. Also highlights the quality of highway which doesn't exhaust the driver physically too much
