Round Trip-Bangalore-Thirupathi-Sringeri-Dharmasthala-Bangalore

Come this October end, there are string of Holidays.

Want to make the best use of it. We are 6 Adults and 1 kid in a family.

Will travel by our mini home(Safari Dicor).

Reason to complete the above route is

1) Thirupati-A s a pilgrimage this destination is usually in our travel calender every year.(was missed last year due to some circumstances unavoidable). This destination is a must and is first on the list.

2) Sringeri- Its time my kid gets to school, we want to perform a pooja there with the "aksharabhyasa"(term used to learn aksharas(alphabets)). Its a must since Mom insists. this ritual dates back to old ages where kids were sent to gurukul to complete their education.

3) Dharmasthala- This holy shrine is never to be missed by us and also falls on the way back home from Sringeri. We may even visit kukke subramanya.

All these places will be visited over a period of 5-7 days time.

Thirupathi- 2.5 days including darshanam and travel
Sringeri- 1.5 days
Dharmasthala-Bangalore 2 days

Anyone who can shed some light on this route or pls suggest howcheers:

Pavan,
The route for ur trip would be
BLR-CHITTOR-TIRUPATHI
TIRUPATHI-CHITTOR-BLR
As ur travelling in your Safari Shiradi ghats is not much of a problem for your safari.
BLR- HASSAN-SAKLESHPUR- GUNDYA-KUKKE
KUKKE-GUNDYA-DHARMASTHALA

DHARMASTHALA-BELTHANGADY-GURUVAYANKERE-BAJAGOLI-KUDREMUKH-KALASA-HORNADU
HORNADU-BASARIKATTE-JAYAPURA-SRINGERI
SRINGERI-JAYAPURA-ALDUR-CHIKMAGALUR-BELUR-HASSAN-BLR

This would be the most scenic route.
Happy journey

Tirupati can be done in one day. best is to go on week day . saturday and sunday strict no. further check annual brahmotsavam which due in Oct.

Book AAD / rs 50 darshan at TTD office at Vyalikaval in advance and book a room at tirumala if you are going for AAD.

In case of AAD you can start in the morning at Bangalore and leisurely reach tirupati by 11 AM . if you are interested you can even go to Kalahasti have darshan before going uphill for next day AAD at 5 AM.

I second sushruta's routes. Only other idea would be while coming back from Sringeri If you have time think about coming via Teerthahalli -(mandanagadde bird sanctury, tunga Dam) - Shimoga (based on timings final day you might find shimoga is right place to stay and proceed to Bangalore next day)- Tarikere - Lingadahalli - Chickamagalur - Belur - Hassan - Bangalore. This can add more thrill your journey.

This is just idea, for direct routes sushruta is perfect!

Regards,

Ravi.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the info, But i need to do all the mentioned destinations in one go, over a period of 6 days.

I am not able to understand where to start first.

E.G., as per my brain activity indicates.

Bangalore---Thirupathi-----Sringeri----Dharmasthala-----Kukke----Bangalore

Can this be done, and how?

Regards,

Ravi.
As rightly said by others, first decide on dates when you can travel.
Then go to Vyalikavil(TTD office) and get a reservation done for darshan/accomodation.
If you get just darshan and no accommodation, still fine. you can stay down hill, and travel up.
Then re-group other travel plans.
You need to factor in festival days. Navaratri time may be crowded in Sringeri/Horndau as well.
Saraswati pooja day during navaratri is better avoided unless you feel you want to have aksharabhyasam on the same day(first figure out choices, choice of dates etc), check for availability, then your route comes next

Pavan ,
This can be done very easily
BLR-TIRUAPTHI-BLR (2 days). Total distance approx 500kms
BLR-HASSAN-BELUR-CHIKMAGALUR-SRINGERI (1 day). If possible visit Agumbe n return back to Sringeri. Distance 340Kms (time to travel (TTT)- 7hrs) 25kms to agumbe
SRINGERI-JAYAURA-BASARIKATTE-HORNADU-KUDREMUKHA-BAJAGOLI-NARAVI-GURUVAYANKERE-UJIRE-DHARMASTHALA (approx distance 220 - 250kms) 1 day TTT - 6 hrs
DHARMASTHALA-Gundya- KUKKE-SAKLESHPUR-HASSAN-BLR - Distance approx 350km (1 day) TTT from SAK -Hassn-BLR 5hrs
TTT between Gundya - Sakleshpur god knows ;-)
You are still left with 1 extra day.
