My friends are travelling to Bhopal from Chennai via H'bad, Nagpur. They are planning to stay somewhere between H'bad & Nagpur for the night. Please suggest a safe place to stay and rates (if possible) on NH7 between H'bad & Nagpur.

Chennai to Hyderabad would take around 10hours with some fast driving,via the NH5-Chilkaluripet-Narsaraopet-Macherla-Sagar-Ibrahimpatnam-LB Nagar.From thereon to get to NH7 towards Nagpur would take another 1-2hours.Considering this I would suggest that he stays in Hyderabad.There are no hotels in Medchal which is approx 50kms from Hyd on Nh7.I would suggest that he stay around the Paradise area so that its easy for them to get out to NH7 the next day morning.I would suggest the following:

But they have some other plans to reach Bhopal before next day afternoon. Thats why I have asked for a hotel on the way to Hyderabad to Nagpur.

If thats the case then the only option between Hyderabad & Nagpur is Hotel Raviteja at Adilabad.Dont take the bypass,its next to the town bus stand.Go into the town and you would find it.Approx 300kms from Hyd.There was also a Hotel Laxmi Palace or residency(cant confirm on this)

What is the best time before which they have to reach there? Are there any naxal/safety problems in the night time?

No safety issues on NH7 whatsoever.Route has plent of traffic at night as well.

I've got a conference to attend in Chennai. I'm looking for serviced apartments close to the Hilton Hotel. Budget is around 1500. Since I'm driving down, its important that the place have sufficient parking. Need it for 4 days in the beginning of December. Any suggestions?

My friend is traveling to Mahabaleshwar with this wife, kid and parents.
Please suggest him some good acccomodation for 2 nights.
Budget Rs. 2500 per night

Few places come to my mind are
1. Hotel Shreyas - Near market place. Rooms and toilets are very clean.
2. Ishwar Inn - Near MTDC. Quite place. Pretty Clean.
3. Anand Van Bhuvan - Away from Market place. Need a car. Little rustic, but very clam, quiet, away from maddening crowd.
4. MTDC Family Cottage
All should be near about the budget your friend is looking at.

Planning a trip to Bandipur or Masinagudi this weekend with friends. Any suggestions on place to stay?

Prefer to stay close to the Jungle with neat and clean rooms or cottages.

there are many options at masinagudi. I had once stayed at Monarch resort owned by Mithun Chakraborty, neat place and VFM. Apart from this there are resorts like the Nest Inn, jungle retreat (I found this to be good too). All of them are neat and are located away from the village and crowd, literally inside the forest.

This being an off-season, bargain hard for some good deals.

Can anyone suggest me good hotels in Madikeri as I am planning for a trip during the first week of Dec' 11.

I have looked into homestays but I am interested in staying in Madikeri town.

What is a decent hotel in Madurai, TN, under 2 K near the temple? My wife and MIL would be reaching there, just one night stay.

Yes, I'm not able to find any decent hotel under 2 K there right now, needs time to research:)

West Perumal Mestri Street near to the railway station has many hotels. The West tower of Meenakshi temple is about 1.5km from here.

Last month stayed at Hotel Golden Park (1.5k + taxes for AC room with complimentary breakfast). Basement parking available to safely park your car. Good roof top restaurant.
