Banashankari to Hasan

Hi, I am planning to go to haasan on 19th dec (next sunday). I will be starting from banashankari 3rd stage. Which route should i go? I think we can go nelamangala->tumkur road->hasan or i can go via maagadi road also? I know nelamangala route but morning 5-6 there will be heavy trafic. So thought if there is one more route which is shorter and good one, I can try it this time. If so please update me on the road conditions also.
Cheers,
Shivaraj

Uptil Nelamangala is the Tumkur Road or NH4 GQ. You need to take the left there which is the Mangalore Highway.

From Banashankari 3rd stage can you get to the NICE Corridor and take that till you hit NH4 at Peenya. This will help you avoid a lot of traffic till Peenya.

There is a lot of roadwork till Nelamangala and also the road upto Hassan is being 4 laned.

The shortest ( time and distance ) route would be Banashankari 3rd Stage - Outer ring road - PESIT- Mysore Road - Kengeri - right onto NICE road - Tumkur road - Nelamangala. ( Rs. 44 toll )

Magadi road is also good. Proceed on Magadi road - once you reach Magadi town junction, take the left road towards Kunigal ( joins NH 48 5km before Kunigal ) - good / broad road. The other road goes to solur. Distance to kunigal from chord road junction - 65kms.

At 5 / 6 am on a sunday, Ypr - Peenya - Nelamangala would not be crowded. The rush would be towards Bangalore. Tumkur road is better nowadays compared to what it was 3 or 4 months back.

Hope this helps.

Banashankri to Mysore road - Use ring road upto Mysore road. On reaching mysore road take left ahd go straight pass Kengri on you way keep going straight..you will find the NICE road which connects from mysore road to tumkur road...Use NICE road to which touches tumkur road after Peenya/Jindal factory/Shell petrol bunk (you need to pay a toll on NICE road now). From tumkur road after nelamangala you need to take left and go straight (NH-47) and follow the directions on the road. You will end up in Hassan.

This is definetely not the shortest in temrs of distance. The shortest would be Banshankari - Vijayanagr-Yeshwanthpur Nelmangala.

BSK-MYSORE RD- NICE ROAD- NELMANGALA will be definetely 7+kms extra when compared with the route which I have mentioned, But will reduce the traffic, time considerably.
Another possible route with no traffic at all is
Banshankari- Deve Gowda petrol bunk - Uttarahalli-Kengeri-Mysore Rd - NICE road - Nelmangala
