Athani 439.8 470.7 30.9 Good - narrow but good
Sathy 470.7 539.2 68.5 Good - a bit of traffic
Coimbatore

The Mettur - Ammapet - Andhiyur (Average road) segment is currently being work on. With a little bit of patch work they will be good and i am told it will be done in 10 days from now. Currently, though they are rated Average (comparitively) they are surely motorable at 70 to 80 KMS even on a low strung vehicle like my Civic.

The Vellore Krishnagiri sector had quite a few Patrols for overspeeding (was warned once near Vaniyambadi). Also has quite a few Toll Booths.

Suggest you try Athani - Gobi - Nambiyur - Annur - Coimbatore next time. Excellent ride.

Mettur - Ammapet road gets bad and gets patched frequently. Ammapet to Athani was always a pleasure to drive. Will be going to Cbe from Bangalore next month. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the route !!
I had a great trip to coimbatore.
Locals at andiyur told me to go to sathy from there as that road was in a better shape, heard some culvert strengthening is going on on gobi side!!
so went to sathy and then to kovai!
