Chennai - Bangy - Destination Yashwantpur - Best route please

My friend is driving down from Chennai to Bangy on 24th morning and has to reach Yashwantpur. He plans to leave at 5.00 AM from Chennai and will be driving thru GQ. What is the best route once he crosses Hosur?

Its a Saturday during a long weekend, should have less traffic. Take Silk Board - Hosur Road (basically the right in a Y intersection after Silk Board) -head straight on towards St. Marks Road. Take a right into St. Marks road and then left into MG road.

Take the right at the next signal (Cubbon Park) and head towards Cantonment station via Millers Road. Don't take the right towards the station, but drive straight on through the railway track under bridge and head straight towards Mekhri Circle. Keep driving straight on till you hit IISC and then again straight till you hit Metro. Take the right down at metro and you will hit Yeshwantpur railway station on your right.

I suggest you use wikimapia or something to check out the directions.

The route through the Outer ring road is too long and irritating but could be simple. If you want to take that... Just take a right at Silk Board and keep going on the ring road. You will cross Sarjapur junction, marthahalli junction, K.R. Puram, Ramamurthy Nagar junction, Hebbal and then it will finally hit somewhere near Peenya. Take a left here and head towards Yeshwantpur.
