I will be travelling from Mumbai to Pune and later to Mahabaleshwar by my baleno running on CNG. While searching on the net I came to know that Pune had 4 - 5 CNG filling stations but no detailed information regarding the locations was available.
It would be of great help if members could provide the CNG filling station address or link in pune.
Thanks and Regards,
Pankaj
There is only one CNG station at Warje - Katraj- Dehu road - Mumbai by pass. It's for PMT buses. There is no CNG station for people as of today.
Anybody has a list of CNG outlets in and around Pune? I went on the MNGL website
:: Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited :: and they have a list of a few outlets, not sure if these are correct or not. Can anybody confirm?
I will be travelling Mumbai to Lonavala as well. Any idea on where i can refill CNG if need be? On d Express?
In Lonavala?
Bumping this old thread. However i think there are many in pune now. One i know is near Hotel Marrriot, Hinjewadi.
Can somebody help to complete the list?
The CNG Pumps I know are -
1) Shivaji Nagar
2) Warje

One in front of Pune RTO, just after crossing the bridge towards Le Meridian/station.
One is in Warje near the highway, exact location not clear.
The above (MNGL) link shows close to 10 pumps - should be accurate. Remember it having only 4 pumps a year back, so definitely someone's updating that website on a regular basis.
I have seen 2 so far:
1) Shivajinagar
2) Lulla Nagar
One more - infront of Dmart - Chinchwad. It is online one.
Whats the difference between 'Daughter Booster' and 'Online'?

Hi,
There are 2 types of CNG stations.
1) Online:
This pump is based on live CNG pipeline. This station will have CNG storage compartment which is constantly filled with live pipeline. Because of this CNG station will have constant pressure of 220. (i forgot the unit, i think it is 220 Pa)
If you fill gas on these station amount of gas filled in your tank will be more. So it is better to fill CNG from these stations.
2) Daughter Booster
This pump is NOT based on live pump. You will see a tanker which will have CNG filled in it, which needs to be replaces when emptied after filling CNG in cars/rick. Normally pressure drops when there is less CNG in this tanker. Pressure can fall upto 100 pa. Due to this amount of CNG filled in your car tank will be less.
In short better the pressure more will be the gas filled in your CNG tank.
I have been using WagonR CNG since 1 year. This is my observation when my CNG tank is empty and when i fill the CNG from different stations:
CNG capacity of WagonR CNG - 12 kg
1) Online Station: 9.5 kg - 10 kg
2) Daughter Booster station: 7.5 kg - 9 kg :Frustrati
Cheers,
Rahul
