election day driving - 7th may ??

Just wanted to check if driving from Delhi to Uttranchal ( Nainital ) is recommended on 7th May - there are elections in NCR, Ghaziabad, Meerut & most parts of Western UP on that day..

will there be restrictions on movements at highways, border crossings, too many police on the road, traffic jams ? etc

While as such there are no restrictions on Inter state traffic, it is best to avoid because of rowdy elements.

i will say avoid driving on the election day.
