Dussehra Drive: Go Goa? or Hindustan ka Dil Dekho?

Sep 28 is Dussehra
Oct 2 is Gandhi Jayanti.

Take 3 days - get a week off.

Have two options:
Either go to Goa and North Karnataka.

(Is Coorg doable? Night driving safe?)

Or Khajuraho, Pench, kanha, bandhavgarh - or will it be too rainy for the animals?

Don't wanna do Rajasthan as I've been there, done all of that!!

Ideas? What to specifically do in that season? Route advice?

Cheers!

Pench and Kanha will be closed, you still can goto the resorts and stay there but won't be allowed in the Jungle ;-(

This year, earlier dashahara and deepawali made problems to all travelers.

Sept end is not right time for Goa or any jungle safari.
Find any monsoon destination with scenery and waterfalls.

Coorg is absolutely safe for night travel. No worries there.

Do this
Sat - Del - Ah'bad
Sun - Ah-bad Goa
This is the fastest you can do Delhi-goa
Mon - Spend night in Goa
Tue - Night in Goa
Wed - Go to north karnataka
Thu - spend night in north ka
Fri - Start driving back.

If the journey is the destination, then this is the plan. If you go to coorg, forget stay in goa.

@PKumar: Thanks! My worry is the slow speeds that side courtesy the bad roads

@Ashish: Suggestions?

@Tsk: Why start back on Friday, and not Saturday?! My plan instead would be Gurgaon-Daman, Daman- Goa

Ok, i will promote my Maharashtra.

how about beautiful Konkan rather than goa.

1]spend one night at Ganapatipule.
2] spend one night at Tarkarli beach, Malwan.[ one of the best 10 beaches in the world].[option of houseboat is available here].
3] one night at Amboli hill station near Sawantwadi.[ its monsoon destination and lot of waterfalls].
4] 2 nights at Humpi.[ north Karnataka].

All first three options have very good mtdc resort.

Why not Chitrakote waterfalls, Khajuraho and some other historical places in the vicinity?

I've heard lots about chhatisgarh from junta - can anyone point me that side?
