Came across this piece of news in a magazine today. Am posting from my cell, so will let the picture talk.

That's a good news to all the fliers.
But then, would Indian carriers be able to survive this with the airline industry already not being in a good shape.
P.S: If this comes into effect, what would the fate of Air India (or, Indian) ?:Shockked:
This website only operates for flights in/out of EU. So only a part of the flights would be affected.
And besides, it will probably force the airlines to run their operations better.
Has anyone traveled to US by the Air India flight from New Delhi to Chicago?
My wife is taking this flight on Saturday. Any reviews/comments would be useful. What flight(Airbus?), food, duration etc.

Thanks for this. Reminded me to claim for a previous travel (May'13) within Europe.

My wife had traveled by Air India in the recent past. One of them was Hyd - Del - Chi and the other Hyd - Del - NY (JFK).
Her feedback on Del - Chi :
Food - ok ok (veg)
Space - was fine
cabin crew - arrogant and pathetic
Flight was before time both the times
Had mentioned that there were quite a few kids separated from parents some as young as 5 years! Interesting seat allocation or perhaps these people reached very late and other seats were all taken.
Del - NY
Food - better
Space - same
cabin crew - friendly and helpful. Wife is a doc and had helped a couple of people on the flight. This saw her getting a complimentary wine bottle!
Flight - before time

Thanks MindSpeeDs. Would you know how long is the travel approximately from Del to Chicago? First time either of us is taking this flight.
Otherwise, its through Europe or Dubai.

It is around 15 hours. Would be more via Europe/Dubai due to layover and also because it will not be a direct flight.
My order of preference would be Direct, Europe and then Dubai.

Or, might be the parents had requested the seating arrangement lol:, speaking as a parent who travels with a kid.

Only problem for me, they do not operate from Mumbai.
Yeah. That's bad. And considering the eight months time period, I was shocked to see almost all the dates blocked.
I thought of booking around the time for Singapore GP, but couldn't get any proper dates.
Sadly they do not fly from any of the airports in India to Malé, Maldives. Was planning on booking two return tickets for September. The rates are on the cheaper side no doubt.

Air India has excellent connectivity to Male and if you are planning to go in next September, you will definitely get good deals through Expedia or make my trip.

If planning a Male trip do check Air India Trivandrum- Male flight rates. I have seen rates in 6K range for this sector
We are interested in Chennai to Singapore but the deal allows only Kuala Lumpur. Any advise would be appreciated. I heard that good buses/train are available.
Is it economical to fly from Chennai to Kuala Lumpur and from there to Singapore for Vacation and come back to Kuala Lumpur again to depart to Chennai?
