Traveled from Charlotte to Kolkata and stopped in Delhi T3 for 5-6 hours. Arguably the most improved airport terminal I have seen in a while. The duty free options are world class. Now if only they can keep it like that and improve on the service...

Not necessary in Atlanta anymore since the new International terminal was built. |
I was talking about IAD and not ATL.
New terminal serves international flights. And none of the airport allows you to go to international arrival luggage belt. All domestic airlines go to old north and south terminals and it is still possible to go up-to arrival luggage belt for domestic flights. And what I advised is, If OP's parents are flying via IAD, IAD-ATL will be a domestic flight.

Ah my bad, I misunderstood. Yes you are right about that, but I'd rather move bags than take another flight and stopover.

Sister warns us that the Delta flights are pathetic - with really bad service and even they are not comfortable. Also, they can only carry less amount of baggage - which will surely be a problem when they are travelling back. |
Your sister is right bro!! trust me I have travelled in Delta many times (no options and company tie with Delta), recent being 2 months ago, They have the worst fleet on air, seats are not comfortable, flight attenders are pathetic (I cant use any words beyond this on the forum). Least leg room, least seat recline, horrible food, to name few. Your parents are gonna curse you for booking them on Delta. Lookout for other options, IMO Air France from BLR looks good with just one stopever at CDG.

I guessed as much. :Shockked:
Well, my dad is hell-bent on flying Delta since it will mean direct to Atlanta. And he will be booking tickets today. I can only hope.
Guys, i need your advice. My wife and two year old kid will be travelling with me and i want to carry some of my son's favourite soft toys. What i want to know is how safe it is to carry the soft toys in a soft poly bag? The weight will not be much but the bag will be too big in size for cabin luggage.
I need to book a ticket for my mom to Boston.
I generally buy the ticket from a regular travel agent each time but, this time want to try out different option like maybe book online via. Cleatrip, Makemytrip etc
Is it safe to book through them? which is the best site for reasonable pricing for international ticket booking? Do they have offers etc?
Thanks in advance

It is safe since these sites will route your transaction through a secure gateway and you will need to enter your 'Verified by Visa' or equivalent password.
The way I do it is get a quick view of the cheapest options on MMT or Expedia then go directly to the airline website and book. No need to pay service charges in this day and age!!

Don't worry, it will be just fine. Update here once you find out how it was.
I am accompanying my MIL on flight, she needs wheelchair after her recent surgery. I have booked wheelchair for her. But this is my first experience with this wheelchair business. When we drive up to Bangalore airport, how to I get her the wheelchair, does that happen at check-in?

Have her wait in the car at the Departure gate, and go to the airline counter outside and have them get you one.
I just returned yesterday from Istanbul. I traveled in the business class of Turkish airlines, and it was a very nice experience. Food on board was good, and they had a very nice collection of English movies. Istanbul airport was good too, though it is very big. The service in Turkish airlines was nice; there was no delay or understanding issues anywhere. The flights took off on time and I had one of the smoothest take off and landing experiences.
So I would rate Turkish airlines 5 * for business class and the very decent and fast service. Before travel I heard that they have improved a lot recently so I was a bit apprehensive about the experience before the journey. :thumbs up
Incidentally Turkish airlines is our new client airline and I had gone to their head office in Istanbul for meetings! So, the to-and-fro ticket and the business class was free! :D
My friends are coming to USA by Korean Air in couple of weeks. They are worried about the ongoing war like status between North and South Korea. The stop at Seoul is 2 hours. Should we be worried about the current war like scenario between the countries?
What happens if a war breaks out, will Korean Air refund the money and cancel the flight or will re route through some other country?
They wanna cancel and book BA but are looking at approx 25k rupees if cancelled.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
