One day in Pondicherry. How best to spend the time ?

By the way what are the good hotel here ? Range : 3-4K. I know about GRT. But looks the like the basic room money can buy starts at 4K.
Any other options? How is Ginger? Does it have a good in-house dining and room service?

Any other places?

Check out Hotel De L'Orient. They are part of the Neemrana Group and the rooms starts from 3K. And its in the French Quarter near to Promenade
