Meanwhile those who have traveled to these places, is it ok to go to Thekkady at all now, i am not sure about the weather now. though All i m going to do is spend one night. and I might have to drive for 3 hrs to reach here from Munnar.

I somehow find Olivebrook a nice place. Going ahead with it. However in here there are multiple options, trying to find the best and will book today.

Need to think about Thekkady though. As per Srikanth & trip advisor Ambadi is bad.

Left me confused. I hope you're looking for accomodation at Thekkady now & not at Munnar. Correct me, if I understood anything incorrectly.

Thekkady>> Kumily >> Nedumkandom >> Pooppara >> Devikulam >> Munnar

my expectation of place is it should be neat with good views from room or balcony. 3 nights stay. price/day 2500.

We are in Munnar now. Took the Chennai-Trichy-Dindigul-Theni-Munnar route. Both Trichy-Dindigul and the Theni-Munnar slow down a lot because of bad roads.

Planning to return via Munnar-Madurai-Trichy-Chennai.

Am i deviating too much ? Please shout.

You also try the Udumalpet - Dharapuram - Kangeyam - Perindurai - Bhavani - Mettur - Thoppur - Krishanagiri - Vellor - Chennai.

Good roads all the way. Difference of about 40 Km.

This would mean avoiding the bad stretch of Dindigul - Trichy, you still will have to manage Theni - Munnar. You could try the route suggested by Ampere, worth the extra distance covered, would also allow you to see Chinnar & Marayur on the way.

I was just checking Google Maps. If i use this route suggested by Ampere, would it be worthwhile deviating at Dharapuram and hit Karur and proceed to trichy and then chennai ?

If roads are not worth it, i can still stick to Kangeyam, Bhavani and come via krishnagiri.

Well, I thought you ignored my comment. I assume you booked one already at Thekkady as well as Munnar. Let me know if that is not the case.

Even thats doable if you are more comfortable on the Trichy route.
But I have no idea about the Dharapuram-Karur road status.

Please avoid the NH67 from Karur to Trichy. Use the SH via Musiri.
As HVK mentioned its very good and the NH67 is totally avoidable.
