Sikkim: referrence required

Hi,

One of my friend is visiting Sikkim. He is Candian, and he is looking for reference to some good Car/Jeep, with driver. Or travel agencies. Appreciate your help.

He will be reaching Badgogra airport this weekend.

Hi Manjubp,

I visited Sikkim in May 2008. And I must say that it was a lifetime experience. I know of a driver (who drives WagonR) Kamal. He took us from Darjeeling to Gangtok and a day trip to places Shamgo Lake, Nathula, Baba Mandir and Tuglaq Point. He took care of getting the required permits. He was well behaved and supportive.

He recommended us to visit North Sikkim and talked to a travel guy, Samandar to make the arrangements. We visited Lachung, Yumthang Valley and Zero Point in North Sikkim. The places in north sikkim are very remote and only 4WD vehicles can go there. The arrangements were nice and rates were reasonable.
