suggestions please near hyd

hi guys,

i need some suggestions here.

i want to go to some place which is <300 KM from hyderabad.
Mostly, will come back same evening, but might just stay one night if possible.

i'm looking for a calm place, with peace n quite and i dont wanna go to sagar.

Sreesailam is the best I can think.

Srisailam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Checkout the forest and the dam. Quite some TLs on the forum exist.

Well, this is a question that has stumped me too .

I dont think there are many single-day driving options (approx 200 km ) around hyderabad, apart from the well known ones. Unless you want to just roam around and not focus on a particular destination.

some possibilities include -

- beyond Medak, Pocharam reservoir etc - I have been to those areas, not as a destination, just drove by. Interesting combination of countryside and light forests

- similarly, beyond Warangal, Ramappa lake , Palampur etc . I havent been to these spots, I have heard that its a nice, quite place.

- If you stretch it a bit, and plan for three days, you can go to East Godavari. I have been to the APTDC resort at Dindi once, its worth the trip . Especially in the rainy season. I had made a thread on that.. here it is.

Othere possible options could be Belum Caves near Kurnool, Bidar, etc.

Its a true weekend getaway with nothing much to do, unless you want to do some major off-roading!
