My preferences are
1.B.R.Hills - Nice place. Works out for you
2.Ooty- Again within reach. Nice place but 2 nights is a must
3.Waynad- Works out for you. Nice roads all along. If you have no plans to trek Chembra peak, 2 days is fine
4.Coorg - Must be raining hard, not sure if you can venture out. But if you like rain, good place to visit in monsoons for sure
5.Shimoga (falls) - Long drive, places to visit are Gajanur dam and further Jog falls. Worth visiting but may be a little tiring
6.Kodaikkanal - Great place but > 400 kms from Bangalore. Moreover, i would recommend 2 nights stay here
7.Yercaud - Not many places to see. 2 days is more than enough for this place. Great roads all along. Had been there couple of weeks ago. Nice weather too. For more info, check out my travelogue

My preferences are
1.B.R.Hills - Nothing much in BR Hills itself, But K.Gudi Forest having jungle lodge/IB great place to stay overnight and safari.
2.Ooty - As usual nothing great, too commercial. Coonor is better i guess.
3.Waynad - Great place, good sancutries.
4.Coorg - If not visited, Please go ahead. Good roads to reach, 2 days ok.
5.Shimoga (falls) - If you are a nature lover and love driving go ahead, dont miss kudachadri there.
6.Kodaikkanal - Not been their but people say better than ooty. 2 day could be short.
7.Yercaud - One day is sufficient i guess. but people stay their to relax.

Re: Places for a 2 day trip near Bangalore

Bumping up an old thread as I felt this is relevant.

We (our team) is planning for a 2 day trip outside of bangalore as a team event. We are a team of 20 people and since we have few girls also the place should be secure.

Also since its a team event we need to have any adventure/team building activities like trekking or rafting.

Please provide any suggestions?
