Road condition to Mantralayam (from Hyderabad)

Planning a trip to Mantralayam tomorrow , request any update on the road condition esp. connecting bridges at krishna before sakthi nagar . Heard that the bridges are yet to be rebuilt after last years floods

This may be of interest :
Hyderabad – Mantralayam a day trip. - Team-BHP

Member Vito parry suggests Hyderabad - Kurnool - Yemmiganur - Mantralayam rather than driving on village roads which still are not repaired.

Hope this helps..

Went to Mantralayam this weekend . Thxns Silverwood for replying for my PM.

Took the following route:

Onward : Hyderabad-Jadcherla-Mahbubnagar-deverkadra-Marikal-Jurula-Gadwal-Eijaz-yergera-Mantralayam. Total 283 kms (around 30 kms more than regular route).

Hyd to Jadcherla is a breeze on the expressway, from Jadcherla to Marikal it is statehighway with less traffic(SH56). At Marikal take left to Atmakur enroute to Jurula and head towards Gadwal .at Gadwal Railway station take right towards Eijaz from here it is one straight road towards yergera . It is a T junction , where road from raichur meets , from this point it is 32 kms to Mantrayalam.Very bad road condition.
From Marikal to yergera is all village roads in average shape except for some rough patches .

We had taken this route assuming we would skip the breached bridge before mantralayam. However we had to join enroute to Mantrakayam at Yeragari.

Return :Mantrayalam-Yeragari-Raichur-Saktinagar-Maktal-Marikal-Deverkadra-Mahbubnagar-Jadcherla-Hyderabad ( 245 kms ).

Except for the first 32 ms from mantrayalam till yergera , the roads are in good condition .

rm arjuna, hope you all had a satisfying darshan !

thanks for the update and photo of madhavaram bridge - the makeshift path / bridge is also seen.

Madhavaram - Yeragera road was bad much before the floods !

If you have spoken to the localites - what are the other options to reach Raichur ( from Mantralayam ) if water level in the river rises ? I doubt if the existing path can suffice.

Had a good Darshan infact twice , no rush at all.

Temporary road below the bridge is very slushy , slightest rain would also make it difficult for hatchbacks and with rainy season any increase in flow of water will breach and cutoff the road . only option to reach the temple would be from Adoni-Tadpatri side .

What happened to the old bridge?
Is this bridge on the Raichur-Adoni road, just before you turn off left to Mantralayam?

This bridge is on the entrance to Mantrayalam on Tungabhadra river about 20 kms form raichur towards mantralayam, not sure whether the road leads to adoni .It collapsed during last year floods ,what's amazing is the grider on top of the piers which were washed away to about 40mts from the pier and couple of piers have been uprooted aswell ,just wondering about nature's fury and power.

The entire temple is being rebuilt & renovated

re: Road condition to Mantralayam (from Hyderabad)

Visited Mantralyam on 14th and returned on 15th.

Took the Hyd - Kurnool - Kodmur - Yemmiganur - Mantralayam Route.
Total: 308 KMs
Hyd to Kurnool (NH7) was a breeze, but Kurnool to Mantralyam road was ok.
