Yercaud in August last week-Is it a good idea?

Hi Everyone,
Im planning on a drive from Bangalore to Yercaud over the last weekend of August. I have gone through several threads on the forum and noted that the road condition seems to be great.

I will be driving my Tata Indigo CS TDI with 4 adults onboard including me.

Would like to know your opinion whether it Is a safely doable drive given the rainy season and the 30 hairpins in the ghat section?

Also, I consistently drive on Indian Oil XtraMile diesel which gives me superior drive quality. Can i find Indian Oil bunks along the highway where i can fuel with XtraMile?

Any other tips, advice, suggestions are welcome.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Cheers.
Peter.

Hi Peter, a trip to yercaud in August is pretty doable, there should be absolutely no issues as the road conditions are very good, the drive up the hills is also easy, just mind the vehicles coming downhill and you should be fine.
There are also many petrol bunks on the highway and the best place to fill up after leaving Bangalore would be Salem.

Have a safe and fun filled trip.
Cheers,
Hari.

I think Yercaud is good most times of the year! It does not receive much rain throughout the year.
