Ladakh Taxi Union Rate List 2010-11 & Important Telephone Numbers

I am attaching scanned pages of the Ladakh Taxi Operators rate list for the year 2010-2011. Note:- only Leh registered taxi's are allowed to ply within Ladakh, hence if someone gets a Taxi from Srinagar or Manali or Delhi, they will not be allowed to ply.

I am sure this information will come in useful for those who plan to fly to Leh and then want to take a taxi to roam around.

This is the printed rate list and I am sure there is always room for some negotiation.

The last scan is of some important telephone numbers which will come in handy for those visiting Leh/ Ladakh

I hope I make it to Leh/Ladakh in two years from now. I am sure by that time the rates would have moved northwards but the contact info would be very handy.

Posting a query on taxi rates but not to the rates posted for 2010-11. Is it possible to hire a taxi on per km basis in Ladakh? What could be the rates? And if it is hired for a long duration what additional charges per night / for meals of driver get added up?
