Suggestions needed for Nainital Trip (Romantic Theme).

I am planning to treat myself with the beauty of the himalayas in winter, during my HoneyMoon trip this December.

Following are the details:

Origin: New Delhi.
Destination : Nainital (and other nice places nearby that can be clubbed into this trip)
Duration : 4 nights
Time : Ready to start from Delhi on 6th December (early morning). Return to Delhi on 10th December by 10 pm (max 11 pm).
Budget : 25K (excluding shopping, outside food/drinks). Can be extended to 30K

I have seen the deals on yatra, makemytrip and the likes. the packages cost around 19-20K incusive of the transport (via small car) from and to Delhi, sight-seeing and acommodation in hotels like Snowline. Not sure if these deals are fair.

Need help on the following points:

1. Please suggest on the best possible hotels within the above budget. Preferring nature and rommantic themed hotels if communication to important areas is good.

2. Also please suggest some great restaurants.

3. Main areas to be visited and nearby places that can be covered in this trip without rushing too much. Also need to know the best possible mode of transport for these trips and aother related details like need for advance booking of cabs/ readily available from hotel front desk etc.

4. Also please suggest if it would be a good idea to book a car right from Delhi, or after reaching Manali.

5. Any other suggestions/advices.

The way to do it:

1. Flight to/fro Delhi-HYD
2. Delhi-Nainital either hire a cab and go, Or take the night train to Katgodham. Nainital close that Katgodam.
3. Stay options : Plenty. I remember TSK suggesting Vikram Vintage Inn
Nainital Hotel: Vikram Vintage Inn, International Tourist Budget Hotel In Nainital - Official Site

4. Do you want to stay in Nainital all the time? There are other places which you can do. Almora/Ranikhet/Binsar/Munsiyari/Jim Corbett etc.

EDIT: Ignore last point as I saw you are looking for 4 nights.

Thanks ampere for the pointers.

Owing to shortage of time i am mainly concentrating on staying in Nainital itself. But i read that Corbett is a 2and half hour journey from nainital. So if it is possible to make a trip, i would consider it.

If its only 4 nights, then just stay in Nainital.

Manali?? You're planning for Nainital or Manali?

Though its a totally personal choice but why are you planning for one of the most commercialized hill stations, why not a little secluded and cut-off from the world? Its just my opinion, if you've already narrowed Nainital down then its totally cool but even in Uttrakhand there are soooo many better places one can go to.

Check with Leisure Hotels: Uttaranchal Hotels - Hotels in Uttaranchal - Hotel in Uttaranchal - Leisure Hotels Ltd

They have properties in both Nainital and Corbett. I have stayed at Nainital property (Naini Retreat) and it was a good experience.

They might be able to give you a package deal for booking early.

Cheers,
