Hosur to Mysore - Route Query

I will be visiting Hosur by the 3rd week of October. I have plans to visit Mysore. I'm planning to drive all the way.

Please help me with the following:

- Do I need to pass thru Bangalore when I drive from Hosur to Mysore ?

- I found two routes one through NH209/SH33 and one all through SH33.

Which of these routes will be the best ? How will be the road condition.

I will probably not drive at dark.

Thanks in advance.

No need to pass thru Bangalore. After Hosur, keep moving towards Bangalore and take the NICE road and exit at Mysore Road. Roads all the way are 4-lane and very good.

Thanks,

Cross the E-City toll for Elevated road and immediately take the service road.
(This is a barricaded road on the left). NICE road entry would another 1 to 1.5 Km down the line.

Hosur - Electronic city - NICE road to hit Mysore road - Mysore

I see another route as well - not sure about road conditions. But there's no need to even come to electronic city.

Anekal access to NH209 is not at all in a good shape. If you want to explore, then yes, try by all means. If you want a smooth ride then definitely no.

On top of it access to Mysore via NH209 (either through NH212 or Malavalli) is not good. Hotels/Toilets again an issue.

I certainly want a smooth ride.

Can you please let me know if the entrance to NICE road is before (or) after the Elevated road starts.

The NICE road starts after the toll gate of the elevated road. The best way to get to Mysore from Hosur is to use the NICE road and exit to Bangalore-Mysore expressway.

As I mentioned earlier, after you cross elevated Toll road check post, keep extreme left on the service road. (Dont go on the elevated toll road). You will hit NICE road crossing in another 2 km.

What's holding the completion of the stretch at Gottigere on the NICE road ? You pay the toll and only to realise you've to drive through the village

Yet, better than the traffic mess on ORR to get there.

Its all resolved. Work is now progressing fast. Now you dont need to go via Village. The access road is right next to the flyover in construction over Bannerghatta Road.

You need to be little careful to get into the NICE road,as there are a bit confusion at the entrance of Elevated toll way to City.

first ,you get a signal where Elevated tollway to city starts. Keep the right track for normal road. Then on next signal, you need to take an immediate exit to the service road. Else you'll miss the entry to NICE road.
