Hyderabad-Dandeli-Bangalore road trip: Help required

Hi All,

We are planning for a road trip from Hyderabad to Dandeli and back via Bangalore next week. We would be starting from Hyderabad for Dandeli on Wednesday morning and starting our jouney from Dandeli to Bangalore on Friday afternoon. Would appreciate if someone can advise us on the following

1. The best route to take and the recent road conditions. Is it fine to travel with a 6 year old kid.

2. Expected time it would take from Hyderabad to Dandeli & Dandeli to Bangalore. We'll be travelling mostly during the daytime.

3. Any good eating joints on the way. We are looking for decent restaurants nothing fancy, hygenic & can serve anything non-spicy.

4. Is this the right season to travel to Dandeli? Any pointers to places to stay & activities would be great.

Any help/advise in this regard would be highly appreciated.

HYD_Dandeli:

Hyd-Hubli : Best route is : NH9-NH218 combo. (Hyd-Homnabad-Gulbarga-Bijapur-Hubli.)

From Hubli drive to Darward on NH4 and then on divert to Haliyal and then on to Dandeli.

(This may be a bit longer compared to the standard route, but I guess it is the route with best possible road conditions.)

The route back to Bangalore is the straight forward NH4 from Hubli. Nothing to say about it. Best possible 4 Lane road with very few diversions.
