Best route to reach B'lore airport from electronics city

If one were to drive to airport from Electronics city on a week day (say starting at 4.00 or 4.30 PM), what is the most convinient route? and what is the estimated driving time? Please keep in mind that I am not very familiar with B'lore road network.

This is the easiest w.r.t navigating around:

1. Electronics City - Hosur Road (elevated express way)
2. After getting down the ramp from the elevated road, keep moving towards Silk board junction. Take a right at Silk board junction towards ORR (Outer Ring Road)
3. Keep moving on ORR till Hebbal flyover.
4. Turn right (exit into Airport road) at Hebbal Flyover onto Airport road and keep going on the same road till Airport.

It may take 1-1.5hrs to reach Hebbal flyover and another 45mins from there to Airport. Budget a minimum of 2hrs.

compared to the route through the inner city, I agree this is the best route since he mentioned he is not familiar with the city's internals. However, Electronic city to hebbal flyover in 1.5 hours? I''m not so sure about that. 4-4.30 pm is almost peak time for returning-from-office traffic from whitefield/marathahalli on the entire ORR stretch. And all junctions along the entire ORR stretch are being converted to flyovers/underpasses - leading to snail pace traffic at these junctions. I'd say at least 2+ hours just for this e.city to hebbal stretch. Just my opinion.

Hello Bengalurians,

May be my post is irrelevant in this thread. However, since the route you were discussing is similar what I was looking at, I thought I could write it here.

@MODS: I didnt find best match for my post other than this thread.

I am going to Munnar this Friday from Hyderabad via Bangalore. I will be hitting Bangalore around 10 pm. could you guide (more detailed) from Hebbal to Hosur through ORR. Places / junctions where I need to remember or more cautious about turns and directions would be more appreciated.

Your early response is helpful to plan my trip accordingly.

Thanks,
Raghu Lakshman
