Is this a right offer?

Hi Frens,
Lately i have been looking to get rid of my Esteem Carb & go for a Esteem VXI or Palio GTX.
Palio I discarded and wanted to wait till September as they are going to come up with new model by then hopefully...

Now recently i got an offer for a used Esteem MPFI 2003 Jan Model.

Owner is quoting 4.1 lacs for the car.

But i think that's negotiable...

The car is driven 20Kms and excellently maintained...

Tyres, Suspension, no body scratches, no dents,

I'm looking at somewhere close to 3.8-3.9 lacs not more than that...

Need your inputs frens...

4.1 for a 3 year old Esteem!! No way. It would be cheaper to buy a new one for 5.02 lakhs (Mumbai) and take a loan.

I wouldn't pay a penny over 2 lakhs for that car.

way too expensive for an esteem. Since you are staying in bangalore I think you should start negotiating from 2.2L and pay 2.6-2.7L MAX not more. BTW what accessories is he offering with the car.
If you are lucky enough you can get a decent palio 1.6 for less than 2L

2003 for 4.1 is expensive.....santosh of tbhp got a 2005 esteem for a price lesser than that.........in bangalore

No the car has all the factory fitted accessories...that's all...

I think i may need to drop this as the last price that he offered me was 3.8 and that's it.

You are right... i could not get him down below 3.8 lacs...
Frankly i liked the car....

But do you really get low mileage Esteems for 2 lacs?
last i got was a Esteem Lxi for 2.5 lacs.

Same specifications esteem Lxi for 2.5L is a little expensive.
3.8 for a 2003 esteem is a strict no. Plus no extra accessories means it is way too expensive stay away
