Hi Guys, Please Help me Find a Match ! oops a Car

Hi Everyone

Instead of deciding on a particular segment , i have shortlisted 3 cars based on Price Range

1. TOYOTA INNOVA DIESEL

2. HONDA CITY GXI

3. FORD FIESTA DIESEL

Budget Max 8.5 Lakhs

Driving : Mix of City and Highway with an average of 70-80 Kms per Day

Mostly self driven , partially chauffer driven

my view (current)

INNOVA : Great car but bulky and problems with exhaust / maintenance issues

HONDACITY : Petrol and hence more expensive to run

FIESTA : DIESEL BUT FORD ( HIGH Maintenance and Poor Service)

Please give me your suggestions to help me decide

Thanks

Nitin

As your running is on higher side I suggest you should stick with diesel.

As for between Innova and Fiesta, it depends on what you want.
If you want a big car (for family outings) then go for Innova.

Any particular reason to stick with only these three cars ?
Why not look for Accent ? With Hyundai's widespread network you will have better support.

hi thanks for the reply

We had previously owned Santro and did not had a very good experience with Hyundai Service and particularly was not impressed with Santro's Body. We are a Family of Eight Hence probably Innova for Family outings should be good but i am scared about Innova 's size and parking issues in our City (Delhi-Gurgaon)

hey man i have a innova , no issues at all. service to, when i got m 1st one done was 500 rs or so. the car is good, and is giving me 12 kmpl in the city constantly with the ac on. though parking might be a problem in small places like old delhi. i dont think in the better parts or malls it should have any kind of problems as there is ample of space.

For a family of 8 with a mileage od 70-80km daily you need a UV definitely.

Look at

Chevrolet Tavera NEO Diesel
Scorpio CRDe
Tata safari 4x2 Ex DICOR BS3
Toyota G1 Diesel
Maruti Versa (just because its a maruti)

I would suggest mahindra Scorpio CRDe as personal favouraite.

As a VFM Chevy Tavera and Toyota Innova make sense. Both have a good dealer network and both are good cars.

As a luxury I would look at tata safari.

All lie within your budget of 8.5.

Nitinz,

If going out with a family is a rare event, Fiesta would make more sense otherwise Innova.

However I was wondering if you could elaborate on the exhaust/maintenance issues.

Hi guys thanks a lot again

Few of Innova Owners have told me about lot of Black Fumes from The Exhaust, hence a little apprehension. I already own Tata Indigo LX, which i have driven from nearly 89000 Km in 2 and Half years and have spent a lot on maintenance. hence going for another Tata vehicle even if Dicor , scares me .

further Tavera is a good option but given a choice i would prefer Innova.

Now I have shortlisted Innova and Fiesta.

We do as a family have on an average 1 family outing a week , then we have to take 2 cars. so i was thinking on saving on it .

Cheers

I've never seen an INNOVA emitting smoke!! Even the callcenter innovas that i've seen running around creating havoc, never saw smoke coming out of their exhaust.

U shud try out the innova, delhi roads are among the best in the country purrfecto for a big vehicle like innova.

HI Guys

I test drove Fiesta yesterday , was amazed by the difference (I currently drive an INDIGO) and was truly impressed by the small drive the salesman offered me. only flaw that i could find was it did not look a proper sedan, just a compact car.

Innova on the other hand, i was looking at G4 , is slightly pricey and if i have to buy it on company account , will be registered as semi-commercial making it a yearly hassle for me.

at this point of time i am favouring the Fiesta

Thanks everyone

Regards

Nitin
