Used Ikon 1.3

My father just bought a used Ikon 1.3 yesterday without me knowing about it, now it is in good shape single owner car used by some software professional from 2001, run 58,000 KM.
Car felt pretty tight and neat for that much use, so the previous owner has kept it well.

Now Ford Owners : My question ?

-> How is the car's reliability ?
-> What parts have you changed very often if any ?
-> Any deficiencies in the car ?

I know it handles well as it's on bridgestone rubber and engine power is enough for my dad. I am happy that he did not buy a 1.6 cos he wont drive fast and it's not that powerful that I would feel like driving it.

Any replies will be much appriciated, Thanks.

Yeah maybe it suffices, but when I look for power getting 9 mileage, I would prefer a City VTEC with headers and a K&N filter

that happened to me when i was replacing the old cabin light for a new 12 LED set and i happened to short the wire, resulting in the heater going on and the fresh air vent not shutting.
all i did was checked the fuse box for blown up fuses and replaced one of them.
cheers

@bugboy, When responding to a post like this, do remember to check date of posting of the previous post. In this case, you have dug up a 2 yr old thread.

May be we should close this thread. What say, Mods ?
