which is best mid-size car in 5-6 lac(on road)

for my brother i need your advise--
--monthly traveling 1400 km
--drive comfort on average indian road should be excellent
--comfortable sitting-self driven-ht 5' 9''
---price 5-6 lac-on road
---lowest maintainance cost and less frequent service.
should he wait for logan, linea,indigo-dicor? what will be the date for arrival?

Consider the Maruti Esteem or the Baleno. They offer most of the above, with good power and FE, and the lowest maintenance costs. Ride quality may not be the best.
For that, you need to look at the Indigo, though the mileage would not justify a diesel. But it does offer the best ride comfort, and maintenance costs would be quite low.

You could wait for the Logan or the Indigo Dicor, if you are willing to wait for another 6 months. Perhaps there might be a new Esteem on the block too. Linea would be beyond your price range.

Logan is a car worth waiting for. Mahindra is aiming to provide whatever you had asked for in Logan. Else as goldie pointed out, you can go for esteem.
