Is the 4x2 vs 4x4 difference still at around 90,000 ?

Congrats himanshu & welcome to the suzuki club, the most reliable one in India. I have to agree that the baleno is miles ahead of the esteem in the build. Here's hoping you have a great time with your new find. cheers

Congrats Himanshu.

However the sales manager probably was not fair enough. The new baleno will some as Suzuki SX4 and baleno will not be there at all. Engine being same but with higher bhp just for "psychological" sake. Well it might make sense but with such a change, many more things in the engine change and thus the two will not remain the same anymore.

No doubt Baleno has got an engine with extremely high reliability figures but then dont expect too much resale value from it. I hope u never want to sell it actually. Its a real good car in itself

Regards

Congrats Himanshu...

You will enjoy this vehicle. Good Value for Money.

I recently bought one and done 2500 kms so far. No issues and getting a FE of 12 kms in City and 16 kms on Highway.

Upgrade to 14" Wheel with suitable upsize on tyres. Vehicle will feel much better.

Hi Folks,

Got delivery of the car yesterday evening, and after the Puja at the dealership itself, went for a longish drive.

The gears are a little sticky right now which I guess is due to the fact htat it is a brand new car(Having said that, the gears of my Palio were pretty smooth from day 1).

The engine is really eager to rev and you have to really exercise restraint not to cross 2500 RPM in each gear during the running in period. (guess by the time the running in is over, I will emerge as a far more patient guy )

got the tank topped up with HP regular fuel. The AC of the car is brilliant. This morning, it is a scorcher in Bangalore, and the cabin cooled down in a matter of seconds.

A word about the tyres. The Potenzas really have a dramatic effect on teh ride quality- the car feels so much better planted on the road. I would really recommned these tyres for any car (Mine are 185/70 R13 tubeless).

Will give a more detailed report after the first 1000 KMS.

hey that's a nice buy. Congrats! Just, yesterday a cousin of mine who sold his baleno to another cousin was actually ruing the fact that he got rid of it. he drives a civic now, but misses the handling and the feel of the baleno. i hope you picked up a black beauty and get some nice alloys to with the new tyres. Will add that 'cool' factor to it
