Civic or 1.8T Skoda

Hi Guys,
Ok this is a query for a friend of mine, My opinion is biased as I already have a 1.8T and would advise him on that.
He cant seem to make up his mind on either of the two.
His requirements are as follows :
Cars short listed: 1.8Turbo Skoda or Civic MT

Price range: NA

Maintenance & After Sales Service (A.S.S.) expectations: Decent enough

Average distance traveled per month : 1000-1500Kms

Where car will be mostly used (city / highway / rough roads etc) Pune City.

Chauffer driven / self driven : Only Self

Whether the vehicle will be shared by other members of family: Nope for him and Him

Any specific requirements from car (responsive engine, Slight FE)

How long you intend on keeping this car (and how important resale is to you): about 3-4 years. I might believe that the resale for the Civic might be more, but that is not really a concern at the moment.

Special note: How much is the actual performance diffecence!! of them both stock!!

Thank guys any input would be of help, right now I am convincing him on the Skoda!! :-)
