Thread reopened again on request. The SX4 was not factored into the decision.

prashant

for decent mileage/power/safety combination, Sx4 is currently the best VFM. I am not sure of how verna performs though, since i have not driven it much. maybe the others in this forum can answer that for you. if you are considering the fiesta diesel (~8.4 on the road, maybe with some discounts) then that might also fit in, instead of sx4. if you are more towards the 6 lac mark rather than the 8 lac one, then aveo suits better.

The SX4 seems most suited, though if you can stretch your budget there could be no beating the Verna CRDi. Take a few test drives.

1. Comfort/space: NHC > SX4/Aveo/Verna > Fiesta
2. Safety (assuming with ABS/airbags): SX4/Fiesta/Aveo/Verna > NHC. Without ABS/airbags, all would be more or less equal.
3. mileage: NHC > NHC Vtec > Fiesta 1.4/Aveo 1.4 > Sx4/Verna/Fiesta 1.6/Aveo 1.6.
4. power: NHC Vtec (out of range) > Fiesta 1.6 > SX4 > Aveo 1.6 > Verna > NHC.

SX4/Verna/Aveo seem like Jack of all trades. NHC is a master of a couple, but at the bottom in others, ditto for Fiesta.

Aveo stands a refresher....

My view over here is you may try Aveo as i put in all my posts related to aveo there are few modifications done in aveo which makes it better choice then before.....

Why aveo you might look in is for its VFM...

but still it varies from person to person.... which value and attribute of a car you prefer more that will certainly decide your choice....

but in general you can have a look at aveo .... Good luck do lets us know your decision.
